Politics Needs Art

In the past few years I’ve been involved with two very different areas of interest: art and politics. Art was one of my childhood hobbies, but I didn’t keep it up, or go on to study it. As for politics, there was always a deep rooted energy for discussing global governance, social justice and solutions, but I never considered myself smart enough for that. Neither did I consider how art and politics are so complementary to one another.

Come lockdown and a shift to working from home, I had extra time on my hands to play, but with limited opportunity for outdoor activity it meant finding amusement in the confines of my house. Like many, I felt compelled to enhance my skills and knowledge in … something!
