Faces of Fear - Nancy

"I brought something out from my dream ."

The ultimate final girl is trying to understand the bizarre happenings between her dreams and

reality. So far in 'Nightmare on Elm Street', she has had dreams and visions of a creepy guy in a hat, a dirty sweater and who has knives for fingers, stalking her and her friends. When two of her friends die in inexplicable circumstances, both of whom confided with one another that they were experiencing similar, odd dreams, Nancy finds herself having to investigate. From a broken home and with squabbling parents to deal with, and her peer group slowing diminishing, she is exhibiting concerning behaviour. Unable (and unwilling) to sleep, grieving and disbelieved, she is taken to a clinic to perhaps get some medical help with induced sleep, but whereby she once again comes face to face with nemesis Freddy. Being attacked in her dream leads to her being pulled back into reality, but her face says it all when she discovers she has been able to bridge the gap and pull Freddy’s hat off his head, bringing it with her into real life.
