Faces of Fear - Alan

"Think of the film, Alan, think of the film!"

The leader of a group of documentarians, Alan Yates, is shown in found footage finally coming to the realisation that he has lost. He has spent the entirety of the last half of the film 'Cannibal Holocaust' as being shown to be a fame hungry, masochistic brute, intent on manipulating scenery and taking advantage of his surroundings, infiltrating them with a Westernized sense of grandeur and superiority among Amazonian jungle tribes.

Now, however, the tribe have had enough and seek revenge twofold. Alan will now have to witness his girlfriend being dragged away and raped, screaming and losing his mind trying to stop her captors, all the while his more naïvely defiant colleague will insist they continue with the film, that the chaos unfolding will be celluloid gold, making them famous and rich just as they intended. By this point though, Alan no longer cares.

However, it is too late, as his efforts to save his girlfriend and calm the storm he created fail and he

will become nothing but more meat for the tribe to feast on.
